Strategic Account Manager

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a new Strategic Account Manager to join our team. Compared to other Strategic Account Manager roles you’ll be given lots of breadth in what you do. You’ll have decision making ability and the ability to put your stamp on the role.
Reporting to Sophie (Head of Insurer Markets), you’ll work with a strategic manager who is looking to the future and direction of the business.  You’ll be driven to push boundaries and unlock your capability.

As our Strategic Account Manager, you’ll:

  • have strategic management for two of Simply Business’s largest accounts, plus other key accounts
  • develop and deliver the strategy for these accounts by leading business development and relationship management activities
  • lead, manage and develop two members of the Insurer Markets team and oversee the development and strategy of their insurer accounts 
  • own governance and compliance matters for our existing Insurers 
  • develop the existing insurer markets strategy to feed into the overall Insurer Markets Strategy

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • strategic – capable of identifying future relationship approaches or insurer services needed to deliver on company strategy or mitigate increasing risk
  • analytical – knowledgeable and astute in insurance metrics and able to draw insights from data for best results, putting together strong business cases, and making data-informed decisions
  • creative – adept at creating solutions and bringing new ideas to support negotiations
  • capable of interacting with all levels of contacts in the insurance market
  • able to support and lead other team members with owning their development and delivery against their objectives
