My writing career began more than a decade ago after an injury sidelined me to desk duty. No longer on the beat as part of a municipal police agency, I had time to explore new opportunities and develop my passion for writing.

At first, my work was banal — I wrote about car insurance, vacuum clears, and how to shovel your driveway without getting injured. Over time, however, I built relationships with small businesses and large enterprises that allowed me to transform writing from a part-time hobby into a full-time career.

While I didn’t come away from the experience with a movie-worthy story about injury in the line of duty (spoiler alert: I sneezed too hard and gave myself a hernia), what seemed like an unfortunate accident gave me the push I needed to find my path. Today, I’m happily creating content and continually working to improve my writing skills.

Oh, and I also sneeze very, very carefully.
