We are looking for a high caliber Financial Reporting Analyst to join our finance team on a full time basis. Reporting to our Finance Manager, this individual will join our revenue recognition and carrier reporting team, a critical function in providing high quality financial and business support to our internal and external partners. This includes the provision of accurate revenue and payaway reporting on a timely basis, regular collaboration with our sales and service team for issue resolution, and direct support of our insurance partners via monthly and ad hoc reporting. We’re looking for someone with a keen eye for detail that shows initiative and is highly organized.

As a Financial Reporting Analyst you will:

  • Prepare monthly sales and payment activity reports to support revenue recognition for the month-end close
  • Investigate and solution for reconciling differences in collaboration with the sales and service team 
  • Monitor carrier bank accounts against payment gateway transactions, preparing bank transfers as necessary to ensure accurate settlement of credit card transactions
  • Process month end journals and prepare accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations in order to meet monthly deadlines
  • Prepare and deliver external reporting files for our insurance carriers and partners, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and supporting issue resolution as necessary
  • Support financial testing for onboarding of new carriers and partners
  • Assist with the construct and implementation of financial controls to support the growing business
  • Carry out ad hoc work as required by the VP of Finance, Controller and/or the Finance Manager

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-3 years of previous transactional accounting experience in revenue accounting or accounts receivable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high volume environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly numeric/strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, working accurately and meeting deadlines
  • Professional, committed and organized approach to work with a drive for results
  • Proficiency in excel is required
  • Experience with Stripe, Looker and SAPbyDesign a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
